Isaura

Chapter Thin Cities 1

City overview

The outlandish city of Isaura is also known as a city of a thousand wells. Interestingly, no one knows for sure, how many wells there exactly are — the number is so huge, that counting them is like counting lamp posts in megapolis.

Isaura was built above a huge underground lake, and hundreds of wells were built for miles in depth to reach it. Thousands of sophisticated mechanisms connect the wells to the main industrial and living quarters of the city.

People beliefs are somewhat curious in Isaura. Some people say that gods of the city live under the ground, in the lake. Others say that they inhabit pipes, tanks, buckets and other mechanisms which are plenty in the city.

Travelling tips

Please, don’t throw coins into wells in memory of the trip. They litter the lake and damage the water supplying mechanisms.
